Adventure in Grand Teton National Park
8/17/2024
9:00 am to 5:00 pm
This is a recurring event.
Join the De Anza College Outdoor Club for an Adventure in Grand Teton National Park, Aug 14 - 31, 2024!
(any or all days, August 14 – 31 2024 )
Participants can choose to stay for a shorter, longer, or much longer trip, potentially visiting up to ten national parks in three weeks, depending on the driving route they take.
Options include:
- Accommodation: Camp or cabin
- Dining: Cook-out, cafeteria, or restaurant
- Activities: Kayaking, hiking, biking, horseback riding, white-water rafting, fishing, backpacking, swimming, visiting art galleries, attending musical performances, and even a rodeo.
Star gazing will be exceptional, with many more stars visible than in the city. For many, this will be the first time they see the Milky Way or a meteor shower. Yellowstone National Park, home to the Old Faithful geyser with 145-foot-high eruptions, is next to Grand Teton National Park, and most participants make a visit there.
The club provides all the gear needed to paddle a kayak or canoe, with lessons provided for those with no paddling experience. We plan both short and long paddling excursions to lakes and rivers.
