Emergency Cash Grants
For Low-Income and AB 540 Students Facing Immediate Need
If you’re struggling with a financial hardship or an urgent expense, we may be able to help. The Financial Aid Office has funds available to provide limited cash grants for students who meet certain requirements and are
- Currently enrolled in credit or noncredit classes at De Anza
- Able to qualify as “low-income” by meeting the requirements for a California College Promise Grant fee waiver
- U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents, or noncitizens who have qualified for the AB 540 exemption to nonresident tuition
Note: If you haven't already done so, you also must apply for financial aid by submitting the FAFSA (or the CADAA if you're undocumented) before you can qualify for emergency funds. There is no cost to submit these applications. Visit the Financial Aid website for more information.
