Here’s How It Works

If you are granted the scholarship

  • You agree to pursue a certificate in one of the sequences listed above, by taking all required courses in three consecutive quarters (one academic year)
  • To be considered for additional scholarship support, students must complete the required courses for the previous quarter and enroll in required courses for the next quarter. Additional awards remain subject to available funding and program requirements.
  • Scholarships are available to selected students in eligible certificate programs. Award amounts and payment schedules may vary based on available funding and program requirements. Applying does not guarantee an award, and receiving a scholarship does not guarantee funding in subsequent quarters. Selected students will receive details about their award and any requirements before payment.

Remember to follow the important steps listed below

Scholarships are funded by the Metallica Scholars Initiative, a collaboration between All Within My Hands, which is the nonprofit philanthropic organization created by Metallica's members and management, and the American Association of Community Colleges. The initiative supports career technical education at dozens of community colleges around the country. De Anza is proud to be one of those colleges!

Follow These Steps

  2. Check the class schedule – see which of the required courses are offered this fall
  3. Don't wait: Register now for your fall courses!
(You can drop courses and get a full refund, through the second week of the quarter.)
