Course Description

This course will cover the chemical classification of nutrients and their functions within the human body, the effects of nutritional deficiencies and excesses, and the relationship of dietary intakes to health and disease.

BIOL-045.-02Z: This is an online class with no scheduled meetings as noted in the class listing. The class can be completed independently each week on the student's own time. Exams will be conducted on campus on the following dates: Jan 30, Feb13, Feb 27, Mar 12, and Mar 26. Students must have access to a computer, the internet and an individual email address. Most De Anza classes will use the Canvas course management system.
