    • Postponed until next classified meeting (September 2026)

    Campus climate update
    • Spring 2025 climate survey, Spring 2026 focus groups, and May 2026 employee pulse survey. The climate and pulse surveys alternate annually; the pulse survey received 417 responses districtwide.
      • Results showed strong employee engagement and connection to the district mission: 87% reported being actively engaged at work, 86% believed their work helps achieve the mission, and 76% reported having great colleagues.
      • Areas needing attention included employee voice (49% felt their opinions matter), conversations about professional progress (50%), regular praise and encouragement (52%), and feeling valued and appreciated (58%).
      • Focus group feedback emphasized:
        • workload balance
        • supportive supervisors
        • flexible work arrangements
        • clearer communication and leadership accountability
        • equitable career growth, recognition, belonging, and consistent onboarding.
      • Ongoing initiatives included wellness resources, strategic plan communication, leadership training planned for 2026–27, governance transparency, and recruitment and onboarding improvements.
    Time block scheduling discussion
    • Discussion raised additional time, and members sought a second meeting on June 17, 2026, to continue consideration and cast votes among Senate members.

    • The supporting task force report described a framework intended to reduce course conflicts, improve student access to required courses, and use classrooms and laboratories more efficiently.

    • Key considerations included predictable course schedules, maintaining four laboratory blocks per day, preserving shared midday time for non-laboratory courses, and allowing coordinated flexibility for programs with specialized instructional needs. These are report highlights; specific member comments should be added where confirmed.

    • The report recommended Version 4, with implementation no earlier than 2027–28 if approved through shared governance.
