Pride Flag Raising header

De Anza College kicked off Pride Month for 2023 by holding a special flag raising event in the Main Quad with members of the campus LGBTQ+ community, along with campus allies and civic leaders including Cupertino Vice Mayor Sheila Mohan and Councilmember J.R. Fruen

The program included brief remarks by students, faculty members and civic leaders, before raising the Pride and Trans flags to honor and support the LGBTQ+ community. Afterward, those attending gathered in the new Pride Center (Library 138) for light refreshments, tours and conversation.
